Why Mint Gold?

Several people have asked us lately "Where did the name Mint Gold Ranch come from?"  We wish we could say it's because we are making a fortune on our animals; but the answer is quite different.  The name is actually a tribute to Dale's parents, Rudy & Norma Dobberpuhl.  Their farm name "Mint Gold Jerseys" was selected in the late 1960's when their free stall barn was built using siding with the color name "mint gold".  That barn housed their herd of prize winning Jerseys prior to their retirement in 1986.  When we began raising sheep in 1992 we adapted the name for our flock.

We think our "Mint Gold" breeding stock can be asset to your flock.
